The cheapest Kindle Fire, 7-inch, would get a screen of 1280 by 800 pixels, slightly higher than the current 1024 by 600 pixels.

Kindle Fire HD, which is also 7 inches tall, would get an upgrade to a screen with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels, slightly more than full HD. The device would become the first 7-inch tablet with such a high resolution.

Finally, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 get a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels. That is much higher than the retina display of the latest iPad, which has a larger 9.7 inch screen surface.

The design of the tablets would be angular. The buttons should be moved so that it can not be pressed.

It is not yet clear how much the tablets would be. Amazon tablets are usually sold for low prices, because the company sees this as an access to its online store.

The tablets should still appear. before the holidays in the U.S. The current Kindle Fire series since last month can be ordered in the Netherlands. In the U.S., the devices already appeared in September 2012.
