Kindle Paperwhite Review: Out of category – ZDNet.be

Who likes to read and still firmly take paper books, has never had a solid e-reader. Who reads books on his tablet, has never used an e-reader. Who home has an e-reader, know what I’m talking about. Digital books are the very best at their best on an e-reader, because the screen reads as pleasing all ink on paper. Amazon is the leading innovator in the industry and has just released a brand new Kindle Paperwhite (3 generation) was launched.

Illuminated

I did two years ago first Kindle Paperwhite bought after I was disappointed in the older e-readers. Paperwhite attracted me for one reason: integrated backlight. So you get a really white sheet in front of you, and you love your other half does not wake up when you would like to read a few pages in your book. Two years later I may test the latest iteration to see what’s been changed this time.

Summary? Virtually nothing. The e-reader technology is common for several years on point, with annual incremental improvements. When I use the old alongside the new leg, I can not even tell them apart. Kindle Paperwhite introduces the newest brand new typeface: Bookerly. According to Amazon, this is the font that more closely reflects printed books, but I notice little difference. It is pleasant to read, I must admit, however shocking it is certainly not the appropriate word

Where Amazon works out with strong, high-resolution screen with a 300 PPI display. This is very similar to the Apple iPad Mini in terms of sharpness, absolute top in e-reader landscape. It ensures that the letters are a little more defined, and it shows you. The previous version showed slightly more teeth, giving the illusion of a printed letter disappeared. Which remains with the new Kindle Paperwhite intact. Especially in combination with the soft white light seems like you just have a paper book in your hands.

Like any e-reader, the Kindle Paperwhite matte touch screen that direct sunlight is still perfectly readable . Take him at ease on holiday, because the battery lasts an average of six to eight weeks. The only minus I can enumerate, is that the Kindle Paperwhite only one specific, Amazon supports file format. Useful if you simply purchase books from the online store Amazon.nl, but all other digital books that are already on your computer or buy anywhere else online, you must first convert it to the Amazon file type.

For 119 euros you can have a Kindle Paperwhite, even though you have this version occasional advertising swallow when you open or close a book. Whoever does not can pay extra 20 euros for the ad-free version. Amazon was lord and master in the field of e-readers at a competitive price, and the new Kindle Paperwhite confirms again. An absolute must for any book lover, you will not regret the digital step.
