The German bookstore chains Osiander and Mayersche currently have an action run their Kindle ereader where customers can redeem for free for a new PocketBook Touch Lux 2. Reported that the German site Lesen.net. Bookstores want their customers with this action more freedom of choice.
From December 27 to January 10, it is possible to exchange a Kindle for a new ereader. Both newer and older Kindles may be redeemed by customers for a brand new Pocketbook. The exchange action can count on enthusiastic response. In many stores stock Pocketbooks would already have been exhausted.
According to the bookstores there are only advantages to the action. When the Kindle from Amazon, you are namely for purchasing your ebooks bound to the shop from Amazon, as you can read on the Pocketbook-ereader ebooks in ePub format, and so with all other German ebook shops you can buy digital books.
The campaign has been so successful that several branches of Osiander already been through the stock. What is going to happen redeemed Kindles is not yet known. The bookstore chain is looking for in their own words to a “sustainable” way to get rid of the Kindles.
