Late last month, the rumor that the new generation Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets would equip with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 800 today surfaced benchmarks seem to confirm this.

Thus the Kindle Fire HD tablets like last year in a 7-inch and 8.9-inch version. The 7-inch model, currently going under the codename ‘Thor’, has a resolution of 1,920 by 1,200 pixels. The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD 8.9, codenamed ‘Apollo’, a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels.
The benchmarks we can further conclude that both tablets are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with a clock speed of 2.15 GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU. Also runs both the 7-inch and the 8.9-inch model on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, of course, just like last year in the form of a modified version that focuses on content from the Amazon store.
The other specifications are not yet confirmed but probably get the tablets 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel rear camera, WiFi, optional 3G/4G, and 16GB to 64GB of storage memory. According to previous rumors Amazon the price level of last year persist which means that the Kindle Fire HD for 199 euros will be sold and the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 a price of 269 euros will.
