Amazon Kindle Paperwhite software update features Goodreads, Kindle FreeTime - Examiner.com

Amazon Announced a new software update for its 2nd generation, release 2013 White Paper Kindle e-reader Tuesday (Nov. 19), also known as the Kindle Paperwhite 2. The update adds feature enhancements Including Goodreads integration, Kindle FreeTime and Cloud Collections.

Kindle Paperwhite 2013 owners will receive the free software updates automatically over-the-air (OTA) through a wireless connection. The update Can also be applied to the e-reader by manually downloading and installing software version 5.4.2 directly from Amazon.

One of the new features of the 2013 White Paper Kindle software update Goodreads integration. Over 20 million booklovers belong to the Goodreads community, a platform That lets people discover and share books.

With Goodreads integration on the 2nd generation Kindle Paperwhite, readers can share Their favorite book passages instantly, rate books and see what friends are reading. Goodreads usefull lets readers keep track of Their Own On Their Kindle reading activity right.

The new Kindle Paperwhite 2013 usefull software update brings built-in parental controls with the Kindle FreeTime feature. Parents to help their children cabins encouragement to spend more time reading, Kindle FreeTime lets parents choose books for Their kids to read. Parents can then set daily reading goals for Their Kids and Their track progress. Kids earn achievement badges when they accomplish or Exceed Their daily reading goals.

The Cloud Collections feature of the new software update lets Kindle Paperwhite 2013 owners organize Their books, newspapers and magazines. Amazon’s Whispersync technology syncs collections so readers can access Their catalogs and reading apps from multiple Kindle devices.

“The new Kindle Paperwhite is already the best e-reader in the world, and we’re excited to make it even better with new features we think readers will love,” Amazon Kindle vice president, Peter Larsen said in a news release Tuesday.
